TERMS AND CONDITIONS
It is each students responsibility to ensure attendance at every class. Such attendance should be in a timely manner, as late arrival is disruptive to other participants. A minimum number of hours attendance applies to each course, and failure to attend for this amount will mean that you are not eligible to sit final exams. Hours may sometimes be made up by attending for lectures in other venues or with other classes but this is at the discretion of the Institute.
Students on each course must complete approx 150 hours of independent study and practice in order to achieve the standards required by the Institute. Students must also complete a number of case studies in which they perform practice treatments by practicing their hands-on techniques on friends and family to gain valuable experience. Detailed records and consultation forms etc must be filled out and presented at the end of the course.
The Institute has strict rules in relation to attendance, time keeping, personal appearance including wearing of the Institute uniform to each class, and conduct. Participation in these courses assumes your consent to be bound by these conditions. By signing this form you agree to abide by such conditions.
Payment of a deposit is required on application for a place on your chosen course. Payment of this deposit or the course fees in full, guarantees you a place on the course, subject to availability. The remaining course fees may be paid in advance of course commencement, on course commencement or an instalment payment plan may be offered at the discretion of the Institute. Once a course has commenced refunds will not be offered in any circumstances. However should there be a genuine medical or compassionate reason why someone cannot continue with their studies, they may defer their participation to a later date.
Students will complete many continual assessments in both theoretical and practical subjects throughout their course. Students who fail to achieve a pass grade (60%) in their continual assessments, will not be eligible to sit final exams until repeats have been taken and a suitable standard has been met.
Course schedule, content, tutors and venues may be subject to change.
Students will not be put forward for final exams if any course fees remain outstanding.
